The length of the breaks is chosen from a sports physiological point of view so that you can achieve your maximum training performance and thus achieve the fastest success. You should therefore try to stick to the length of the breaks as demonstrated.
But if you need a little breather, just click on the pause symbol in the lower left corner of the video and take a few deep breaths. This is okay, especially when you're just starting out on your path to better fitness. Your body has to get used to the new strain and that's only possible when you're really pushing yourself!
