Using Spotify while training
Can I open a playlist on Spotify while training?
Yes, you can listen to music via Spotify during training, choosing either our curated Spotify playlist or one of your own. This is possible on both the website and in the app, but you'll need a Spotify Premium account to connect to in the app.
Hover over the music icon (🎵) at the bottom of the video.
Deactivate the Gymondo music using the slider.
Start the curated Gymondo Spotify playlist by clicking on the play icon ().
You can then adjust the trainer voice volume in the workout and the music volume in Spotify.
In the app:
Log into your account in the Gymondo app.
Begin the workout you want.
Tap on the music icon (🎵) at the bottom of the video.
Deactivate the Gymondo music using the slider.
Activate Spotify using the slider. You will be redirected to Spotify to log in there.
Once you're logged into Spotify, go back to the Gymondo app. You can now choose between the Gymondo curated Spotify playlist or your own playlist on Spotify.
NOTE: Spotify is not available in the Gymondo app for TV as it's not possible to open 2 apps simultaneously.
What if the connection with Spotify doesn't work?
There are several reasons why you may have trouble connecting to Spotify. Here are some some error messages you may see:
Login to Facebook via an embedded browser is disabled
Connection with Spotify failed, please try again
What to do if you see the error message "Login to Facebook via an embedded browser is disabled"
Facebook has removed support for Facebook login authentication in embedded Android browsers. The reason for this is the increasing number of phishing attempts. To fix the issue, you need to change your Facebook settings as follows:
Log in to your Facebook account.
Tap on the menu icon in the top navigation bar (to the right of the bell).
Scroll down the menu until you reach the Settings & Privacy option.
Tap on the Settings & Privacy option.
Tap on Preferences.
Tap on Media under Preferences.
Check Open links externally at the bottom.
After you enable Open links externally, the Logging in to Facebook from an embedded browser is disabled error will be fixed. This means that you can now log in to various apps using Facebook. Please note that the "Open links externally" option will only show up on Android devices. It will not show up on iOS devices.
Still not working? If you still can't fix the error with this, you can try changing your default browser to Chrome or Firefox. Another solution is to tap Forgot password right after the page loads. After tapping on Forgot password, you need to tap on the (email) option and enter your password. After that, you will be redirected to Facebook, where you will have to close the page and then try to connect Facebook to the app again. This time you should be able to log in with Facebook. You can find the instructions on how to create a password as well as other tips on Spotify via Facebook here.
